The final game of the 2024 NFL season-opening weekend will be a Monday Night Football matchup featuring the New York Jets on the road against the San Francisco.
San Francisco leads the all-time series between these teams, 11-3, and have won three of their four most-recent meetings. They last faced off back in 2020, when the 49ers won 31-13 on the road in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
This is Aaron Rodgers first game back since his season-ending injury just three plays into the 2023 season, but the QB still skipped out on OTAs and had some inconsistencies in training camp. He might still be the player he always was, but it also might take some time for him to get back into a groove with his offense. The 49ers have a couple players motivated by their new contracts, and perhaps a little less drama than their opponent, so I’m betting on the home team in this MNF game.
