How the New York Giants are trying to win more than a game in Germany | The Athletic
Earlier this year, the NFL’s International Committee awarded the Giants marketing rights in Germany through the NFL’s Global Markets Program, the franchise’s first foray into the initiative that launched in 2022.
Broadly, the program grants franchises access to international audiences to allow them to try and build fan bases around the world. Previously, without marketing rights, teams were pretty much limited to branding a bar in a particular company as the “team pub.” Now, they can do so much more.

5 things to watch as Giants face Panthers in Week 10 of 2024 NFL season | SNY.tv
Can New York get Malik Nabers involved on a more consistent basis? The rookie WR seemed somewhat frustrated with the game plan against Washington. The Giants had some success running the ball in the first half, but one byproduct of this was that Nabers didn’t record a catch and was only targeted once.
After halftime, the Giants made a concerted effort to get him the ball and he ended up with nine catches, albeit that he didn’t really have any big plays and ended up with just 59 receiving yards. Surely it will be more effective for the Giants to keep Nabers involved throughout the game, so look for that to be the approach this week.
Giants’ Malik Nabers on must-win matchup with Panthers | nj.com
MUNICH — Malik Nabers knows exactly what he wants to do Sunday against the Panthers, in his first overseas game.
“I plan on doing some great things on Sunday,” Nabers said Friday after the Giants’ first and only practice in Germany during this trip, at Bayern Munich’s training center.
Victor Cruz’s advice to Malik Nabers to keep him off dark Giants path | New York Post
“I think it’s natural for him to get a little frustrated as a player, given the team and where we are right now at this point,’’ Cruz said. “But I think he has to understand it takes time, it takes time to gel, it takes timing for him to be around the right staff and the right team and the right situation and I think he is….I think this offense is geared around him, which is a blessing for him coming in and I think they need to figure out ways to get him the ball as many ways as possible without wearing him down and without fatiguing him too early, not only within the game but throughout the season. So I think he’s a young kid who’s ready for that challenge and it’s natural for him to get frustrated but he’s just got to stay the course.’’

Dabs’ Digest: Preparing the Giants for an overseas trip | Giants.com
The Giants play the Carolina Panthers Sunday in Munich. What’s the bigger challenge for a coach, a short week or a long trip overseas?
Daboll: “They’re different. This is not much longer of a flight than Seattle. So, I think the staff, like L.Y. (director of coaching operations Laura Young), who has to get things ready in advance, along with the rest of the people, have done a fantastic job. That eliminates a lot of the things that you need to do when they get those things ready and then you can just focus on football, on practice, and what matters the most, getting ready to go play a game.”
Jalin Hyatt finally getting another chance after sitting in Giants doldrums | New York Post
With Darius Slayton not making the trip to Germany to face the Panthers due a concussion, Hyatt is expected to start.
“I haven’t had a lot of opportunities, but I haven’t made the most of my opportunities when they came this year. Right now, it’s just about taking advantage — staying focused, getting open, trusting D.J. and catching the ball,” said Hyatt. “We’re all competitors, and I want to be out there every snap, and I believe I should be out there. Last year, I definitely had more opportunities, and that’s why I made more plays, but every season is different. I can’t control playing time or targets. For me, doing everything the right way is how you get your opportunities … so that [coach Brian Daboll] can trust me. That’s my goal.”

New York Giants Defense Remains In Search of Interceptions | SI.com
“I would say that’s a major point of emphasis. I mean, I’d agree with you. You would think if you’re able to affect,” Bowen said about the lack of interceptions. “But again, if you’re getting the sack numbers, they’re not putting it up in the air either. So hopefully, we can take advantage of those times where we’re able to get some pressure, get them off the spot, make them uncomfortable back there. If there are opportunities that aren’t great throws, we can take advantage of them.”
NFL’s All-Underrated Team: 8 defensive players surprising us halfway through the 2024 season | SBNation.com
Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, New York Giants. By the time 2024 began, Ojulari was an afterthought in a Giants defense that had Kayvon Thibodeaux and Brian Burns at the edges. It might have stayed that way but for Thibodeaux’s Week 5 wrist injury, which put a healthy Ojulari back on the field full-time. He’s made the most of it, with seven sacks and 21 total pressures on a minimum number of pass-rush reps.
Evan & Tiki: How did Giants season go downhill so fast? | WFAN.com
“While they fixed the offensive line and got better defensively, talent wise at least, it’s hard to win in the NFL,” Tiki said. “The Giants have played in a lot of close games, and they don’t know how to win yet…this team, I think we overestimated the growth of some of the players on this team.”
This week’s opponent
NFL Week 10 picks, schedule, odds, injuries, fantasy tips | ESPN.com
Quarterback Bryce Young will get his third straight start after engineering his first NFL winning touchdown drive last week, but that came against a Saints team depleted by injuries. He’ll likely have help with rookie running back Jonathon Brooks expected to make his NFL debut. The challenge will be stopping the Giants’ rushing attack with a run defense ranked last in the NFL with 159.3 yards allowed per game.
Adam Thielen, Ikem Ekwonu ruled out for Sunday vs. Giants | Pro Football Talk
Receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) and offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu have both been ruled out for the contest. Running back Jonathon Brooks (knee) may be able to make his debut on Sunday after he was a full participant in practice all week. He’s officially questionable for the contest.
Linebacker D.J. Wonnum (quad) is in a similar situation, listed as questionable after he was a full participant in practice all week, as are Outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee), safety Jordan Fuller (hamstring), tight end Tommy Tremble (back), and cornerback Lonnie Johnson (quad). Safety Jammie Robinson (knee) is doubtful.
Panthers vs Giants: Offensive preview | Cat Scratch Reader
Generate explosives in the run game. That tackling issue I mentioned above rears itself in the run game as well. The Giants allow 5.2 yards per carry, worst in the league. Chuba Hubbard has been reliable and consistent, but he hasn’t popped off many huge runs. It’d be nice to see him get one or two this week. If Jonathon Brooks plays, it’s a great opportunity to get his career off on the right foot.
