Eagles-Cowboys Final Injury Report: Philly’s active roster is almost entirely healthy

Eagles-Cowboys Final Injury Report: Philly’s active roster is almost entirely healthy

Week 10 game status updates.

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on Friday in advance of their Week 10 road game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The big news is that everyone on the active roster — save for one player, Ben VanSumeren — is listed without a game status for Sunday.

This means Jalen Hurts, A.J Brown, DeVonta Smith (who was notably upgraded from limited to full on Friday), Saquon Barkley, Dallas Goedert, Fred Johnson, Mekhi Becton, Cam Jurgens, Darius Slay, Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith, Bryce Huff, Ainias Smith, and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. will all be available to play despite appearing on the injury report this week.

Hurts is still listed with a “rest” designation next to his name despite the fact that Nick Sirianni spilled the beans about his ankle injury.

Having A.J. and DeVonta available is obviously crucial.

Goedert will play for the first time since getting hurt early in the Eagles’ Week 6 win.

Slay is returning after missing Week 9.

The Eagles ruled one player QUESTIONABLE: Ben VanSumeren.

The fullback/linebacker hybrid was a full participant during Friday’s practice, so, that seems like an encouraging sign for him passing the concussion protocol before Sunday’s game. If he somehow can’t play against Dallas, he should definitely be able to suit up in Week 11.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

QUESTIONABLE

FB/LB Ben VanSumeren (concussion)

RESERVE/INJURED

DB James Bradberry IV
OT Le’Raven Clark
WR Britain Covey
OT Jordan Mailata
DT Byron Young

Mailata is eligible to be activated after Week 10. Young is eligible to be activated after Week 11. Covey is eligible to be activated but he still might be recovering from his shoulder injury. Bradberry is eligible to have his practice window opened if/whenever the Eagles choose to do so. Clark is out for the season since he was placed on IR back in May.

DALLAS COWBOYS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

The Cowboys ruled three players out: starting quarterback Dak Prescott, starting cornerback DaRon Bland, and special teams ace Juanyeh Thomas.

Prescott is out multiple weeks due to a hamstring injury. Cooper Rush will be QB1 but apparently the Cowboys might also look to get Trey Lance involved.

Bland hasn’t been able to play since suffering a stress fracture during training camp.

Thomas, who leads the Cowboys in special teams tackles by far, hasn’t been able to practice this week.

The Cowboys ruled five players questionable: starting edge rusher Micah Parsons, starting cornerback Trevon Diggs, starting left tackle Tyler Guyton, starting linebacker Eric Kendricks, and backup linebacker Nick Vigil.

Parsons has been limited in practice all week. He seems to plan on playing. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s able to handle his normal workload in his first game back since getting hurt in late September.

Diggs did not practice on Friday after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday. “Illness” was added next to his “calf” designation. The guess here is that he suits up, albeit operating at less than 100%.

On Friday, Mike McCarthy said the following about Guyton’s neck/shoulder injury: “He’s very limited. He’s fighting through it.” Even if Guyton starts, the rookie blocker might not be able to make it through the game. His backup is Philly native Asim Richards, who played 39 snaps last year as a rookie.

Kendricks did not practice on Wednesday before he was limited on Thursday and Friday. The guess here is that Mychal Kendricks’ younger brother plays.

Vigil ranks tied for second on the Cowboys in special teams tackle.

Key Cowboys starters Zack Martin and CeeDee Lamb aren’t listed with a game status despite appearing on the injury report this week.
