The Bengals lose two players to IR while making a move for Bears running back Khalil Herbert.
The Bengals have officially made a trade for Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert in exchange for Cincinnati’s seventh-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
In addition, the Bengals have placed tight end Erick All Jr. and running back Zack Moss on injured reserve. All was lost to a season-ending ACL tear during Sunday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders, while Moss suffered a neck injury in practice leading up to the game.
Herbert, weighing in at 5-foot-9 and 212 pounds, is a fourth-year player out of Virginia Tech who was a sixth-round pick of the Bears in 2021. He has played in 48 career games for Chicago (12 starts), recording 372 runs for 1,791 yards (4.8-yard avg.) and nine touchdowns. He also has caught 45 passes for 291 yards (6.5 avg.) and two scores while returning 33 kickoffs for 824 yards (25.0 avg.).
The Bengals now have one vacant spot on the 53-man roster.
