Week 9 of the 2024 season wraps up this evening with a Monday Night Football showdown between the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Chiefs, who host this evening, are the last remaining undefeated NFL team this season. Kansas City is coming off a win last weekend over their divisional rival, the Las Vegas Raiders, 27 to 20. The Buccaneers have been more up and down this season, with their 4 and 4 record. Tampa is coming off an interdivisional loss last week to the Atlanta Falcons, 31 to 26.

—My Pick: It’s the Kansas City Chiefs at home! Tampa Bay has had the better offense this season, but the Chiefs are the better of the two defenses. While it’s been the Chief’s dynamic offense that has carried the team over the last couple of seasons, it’s now their top defense that continues to win the day for the team at this point. The Bucs have had a solid offense this season, but they will be slowed down considerably this evening, playing against one of the best defenses in the NFL and in one of the hardest places to play in the NFL. The Chiefs will win outright and cover the large spread.
