At 2-6, the Miami Dolphins are looking to better their roster, Super Agent Drew Rosenhaus suggested on a recent episode of Sports Xtra with Josh Moser.
Alright, I’ll say it.
I was wrong — or at least it appears that way.
As you may or may not know, a few days ago, I wrote an article about teams calling Miami to do their due diligence on 38-year-old defensive lineman Calais Campbell. In that article, I said that the Dolphins should do the right thing and free Campbell to a Super Bowl contender. That seemed like the right thing to say, but according to super agent Drew Rosenhaus, it’s not even a topic of discussion in the Dolphins’ locker room, and instead of being sellers at the deadline, Miami is much more likely to be buyers!
“I will tell you that Christopher Grier has been very active and making phone calls at least over the last three weeks,” Rosenhaus said during his weekly guest spot on Sports Xtra with host Josh Moser.
He continued: “Without getting into specifics, I know for a fact the Dolphins have been aggressive to try to get better. So far, they haven’t been able to make a trade, but not for a lack of trying.”
During his Monday afternoon press conference, head coach Mike McDaniel was asked his thoughts about the report from Rosenahus.
McDaniel says he won’t put a label on whether Miami is buyers or sellers at the deadline.
both Grier & McDaniel have conviction in this team, & don’t believe they’re what their record indicates.
“we believe it can make a turn.” – McDaniel

This sounds eerily similar to what Rosenhaus said about Miami and how they feel optimistic about their chances to turn the season around.
“I do not expect the Dolphins by any means to give up on the season. I don’t expect them to trade away any of their top players. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they acquire a player. They’re really determined to play good football and do everything they can to turn this season around. And they have not given up by any stretch of the imagination.”
I don’t know whether the Miami Dolphins will be buyers or sellers at Tuesday’s 4 PM EST deadline, but one thing is for sure: it will take a next-level Christmahanukwanzakah for the Miami Dolphins to turn their season around. But hey, stranger things have happened.
