Ravens HC John Harbaugh gushes over WR Zay Flowers after Week 9 win
The Baltimore Ravens have seen great returns on their investment of selecting wide receiver Zay Flowers in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft. He has turned himself into a star No. 1 wide receiver, making opposing defensive backs struggle mightily in the process.
On Sunday against the Denver Broncos, Flowers put together another incredible performance with 127 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Head coach John Harbaugh couldn’t stop raving about Flowers, referencing his incredible 2nd touchdown play.
“That play at the end of the half – that play was [an] unbelievable play. I mean, the throw and the protection; the throw, the catch and then the little stop-and-stutter [move] – and sometimes, I’ll admit, I’ll tell them, ‘Just go; just get upfield and get as many [yards] as you can.’ [Zay Flowers] is thinking about scoring every time, so that was just a phenomenal football play.”
Flowers has established a trusted connection with quarterback Lamar Jackson, one that continues to improve with every passing week. Both players will be looking to continue their momentum moving forward, especially with the year they’re having so far.
