The Eagles WR will still undergo further testing, but initial thoughts are encouraging.

It’s no secret that the Eagles offense is measurably better with A.J. Brown on the field, and after leaving Sundays game against the Jaguars due to a knee injury, early reports indicate there’s room for optimism.

Brown came out after halftime to try sprinting on the sideline, but shortly afterward, returned to the locker room before he was ultimately declared out for the rest of the game. That he was able to even try and run was a good sign, and that he didn’t appear to have any issues walking was another. The WR will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine exactly what the situation is, but hopes are it’s not something to worry about long term.

Brown has dedicated part of his off-season training to making sure his body is healthy and that he’s available for his team as a result. Despite those efforts, the wideout has had some issues, including missing games early on due to a hamstring injury, and even narrowly avoiding a concussion earlier in the Jacksonville game.

Fortunately, DeVonta Smith continued to dominate in Brown’s absence, and Jahan Dotson finally had a breakout moment with a huge catch that created some momentum. It’s always better than not to have Brown on the field, but it’s good to see the offense won’t completely collapse without him — like it did before the bye week.
