The Rams have won 3 straight games to get back to .500 and back in contention for the NFC West
The Los Angeles Rams have had too many rough starts recently, but that didn’t stop them from making the playoffs last season and Sean McVay’s measured approach to adversity could work again. The Rams beat the Seahawks in overtime on Sunday and while there is a lot to clean up still, L.A.’s won three straight games and they’re 4-4 at the midpoint of the season.
The Rams recovered from 3-6 last year, can they do it again after starting 1-4?
The Rams are 4-4, 3-1 at home, 2-1 in the division, and 3-4 against the NFC.
Though they have been outscored by 24 points, that’s largely due to a 41-10 loss to the division-leading Cardinals in Week 2. The Rams kept the score close in losses to the Lions, Bears, and Packers. Now they have beaten the 49ers, Raiders, Vikings, and Seahawks.
Those NFC West wins could be the most helpful in winning another division title.
The Rams next four games are opportunity:
- Dolphins, MNF
- at Patriots
- Eagles, SNF
- at Saints
If the Rams win 3 of 4, they would be 7-5 going into the final five games against the Bills, 49ers, Jets, Cardinals, and Seahawks.
It seems like anything above 9-8 wins the division, although the Cardinals have won four of their last five games and beat the Rams head-to-head once already.
There are those that say that the Rams will lose in the playoffs, even if they get there, so is it worth it? If your favorite team wins the division, it’s always worth it.
