Everything you need to know to successfully watch the Sunday Night Showdown of the Colts vs. the Vikings!
The Matchup:
The Indianapolis Colts (4-4) head North to take on the upstart Minnesota Vikings (5-2) with newly named starting quarterback, Joe Flacco, behind center. We’ll see if Flacco can help fix a stalling Colts passing game—as he figures to be an immediate upgrade in accuracy and efficiency, but hopefully not too much at the expense of the Indy ground game. He’ll face a tougher challenge than he’s so far faced in a Colts uniform, as the Vikings have allowed the 9th fewest points (19.6 avg. ppg.) among all NFL defenses.
One key loss for Flacco and the Colts offense will be the absence of breakout starting left tackle Bernhard Raimann (concussion), which means rookie swing-tackle Matt Goncalves, a 2024 third round pick, will make his career starting debut along the blindside.
Injury Report:
Colts- DE Kwity Paye (hamstring) – Questionable; and OT Bernhard Raimann (concussion) – Out.
Vikings- LB Blake Cashman (Toe) – Out; DL Taki Taimani (ankle) – Out; CB Akayleb Evans (Hip) – Questionable; and OG Dalton Risner (back) – Questionable.
