The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2024 NFL Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The following Eagles players WILL NOT PLAY: Dallas Goedert, Darius Slay, Tristin McCollum, Tanner McKee, Darian Kinnard, and Trevon Keegan.
Goedert was ruled out on Friday’s final injury report. The Eagles will roll with Grant Calcaterra and Jack Stoll as their top two tight ends. The team also temporarily elevated E.J. Jenkins from the practice squad to be TE3.
Slay was ruled out on Friday’s final injury report. Isaiah Rodgers figures to start in his place. Kelee Ringo will be the top backup outside cornerback.
McCollum is a healthy scratch for the first time this season. Sydney Brown is the only full-time safety active behind starters Reed Blankenship and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Avonte Maddox is likely the fourth safety behind the top trio.
Eli Ricks, normally the seventh cornerback on the roster, is active for the first time since Week 4. Interesting to see him up ahead of McCollum when the latter has much more special teams experience and a shorter path to playing on defense. The Eagles decided to go heavier at corner with Slay out.
Under the NFL’s third quarterback rule, McKee is only allowed to play if both Jalen Hurts AND Kenny Pickett leave the game due to injury.

Jacksonville Jaguars Inactive List
Jags leading receiver Brian Thomas Jr., starting right guard Brandon Scherff, and top two running backs Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne are all ACTIVE despite being ruled questionable.
Jags starting left guard Ezra Cleveland was ruled out on Friday. No. 3 wide receiver Gabe Davis is inactive after being ruled questionable. With Davis and Christian Kirk (injured reserve) not playing, the Jags are without two of their top three receivers.
