Making sure you can keep up with tonight’s action
It’s game day, ladies and gentlemen! For those of us who are fans of the Minnesota Vikings, it means that we’re going to be waiting all day for Sunday Night, as the NFL decided to flex today’s contest against the Indianapolis Colts to prime time. That means things are going to be a little different, but we’re here to make sure that you have everything you need to follow along with the action.
Television Info
Tonight’s game is going to get underway a bit later, with kickoff scheduled for 7:15 PM Central this evening. The game is going to be on NBC, with Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth on the call in the booth. That’s KARE-11 in the Twin Cities area. No map necessary for this one, as it’ll be the only game in town.
For our men and women in uniform overseas, this one will be carried LIVE on the American Forces Network, specifically on AFN Sports. Kickoff is slated for 0000Z, which works out to 0100L on Monday morning for viewers in Central Europe, 0300L on Monday morning for those on Arabian time, and 0900L on Monday morning for fans in Japan and Korea. Be prepared to either get up early or stay up late, folks.
Radio Info
If you have a Vikings Radio Network affiliate in your area, most of them will probably be carrying the game. We’ve provided you with the full list of affiliates for this season, so use our page to find the affiliate nearest to you.
Those of you who will use satellite radio to listen to this one can find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on SiriusXM Channel 225. You can listen to the Colts feed on Channel 226 if you feel compelled. On top of that, there’s SiriusXM NFL Radio, Channel 88, for the Westwood One feed. If you use the SiriusXM app, the Vikings’ permanent home is on Channel 820.
Referee Info
The folks from Football Zebras inform us that tonight’s officiating crew will be helmed by Shawn Smith. The Vikings saw Smith’s crew twice in 2023, once when they fell to the Los Angeles Chargers at U.S. Bank Stadium and once in the “Josh Dobbs” game when they defeated the Atlanta Falcons on the road.
Weather Info
Well, since the game is going to be played at U.S. Bank Stadium, the weather isn’t going to be a factor during the game itself. If you plan on traveling to the game or partaking in any activities, it might be a little wet according to our friends at WeatherNation. It is forecast to rain pretty much all day on Sunday in the Twin Cities, with temperatures in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
Betting Info
According to the folks from FanDuel, the Vikings are still a significant favorite in this one, as they’re currently a 5.5-point favorite. The line started at 6.5 when things opened earlier in the week. The over/under for this one is sitting at 46.5 points.
Streaming Info
The game is on Peacock. That’s a streaming service.
I’ll say the same thing about illegal streams that I always say: don’t. Or damn sure don’t go advertising them here. You’ll be banned, and that will be the end of it.
Post-Game Info
We will once again be bringing you a post-game show courtesy of Vikings Report. We obviously can’t give you an exact time for the show to start, but we will be on the air within a few minutes of the final gun, and we hope that you come and join us.
That should be everything you need in order to keep up with the action on Sunday Night Football from U.S. Bank Stadium between the Indianapolis Colts and our Minnesota Vikings. We’ll have our first discussion thread of the day dropping about thirty minutes before game time, around 6:45 PM Central, and we hope that you’ll join us for it.
