For the second straight week, the Miami Dolphins will be without defensive tackle Zach Sieler. With Miami’s defensive captain sidelined with an Orbital injury, Miami will activate the former 2022 fourth-round pick (126th overall). Long snapper Matt Overton will also get called up for Sunday’s game vs. the Buffalo Bills.

Farrell, 26, appeared in 13 career games during his three-year NFL career, with stops with the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs before Miami. Farrell appeared in last week’s game vs. the Arizona Cardinals but did not record a tackle. He will add much-needed depth to the Dolphins’ defensive line.
The other roster move the Dolphins made was promoting long-snapper Matt Overton to the active roster. Overton has appeared in 141 career games throughout his 11-year NFL career. And he has filled in the last two weeks (FLAWLESSLY) vs. the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals, with starter Black Ferguson sidelined currently on the non-football illness list.
Earlier this week, the Dolphins signed Shakel Brown to the practice squad:
“Brown entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Tennessee in 2023 and spent the season on injured reserve. He spent part of the 2024 season on the practice squad with San Francisco. Brown played collegiately at Troy (2020-22) where he appeared in 29 games and recorded 58 tackles (18 solo), 4.5 sacks, one pass defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recovery in three seasons with the Trojans.”
