Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 10/31/24
When you talk sports for a living you are bound to have a bad take at some point, and I think many would say ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky has had some real head scratching takes, but his feeling that the Los Angeles Rams can win the NFC West seems right. Will the Rams win the NFC West? Well, that’s the $255,329,997 question. Now can LA win the NFC West? Of course they can! The NFC West is a tight race where each team has a shot, so simply put sure they can!
LA would could take a huge step towards a division title with a win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, but even a win guarantees nothing yet. There’s plenty of football to be played.

Rams predicted to acquire former No. 1 overall pick in trade (sportingnews)
“The Los Angeles Rams have won two straight games and have gotten themselves back into the playoff race in the NFC, especially in an NFC West that features no teams over .500. And while the Rams are getting healthy at the right time with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua returning to the lineup, a projected trade has them planning for the future and potentially resurrecting the career of yet another quarterback.
According to Dallas Robinson of Pro Football Network, the Rams should trade a 2026 fourth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for quarterback Bryce Young.”

“The Rams appear to be trending in the right direction following the recent returns of wide receivers Puka Nacua (a former UW Husky) and one-time Associated Press NFL Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp (a Yakima native who starred at Eastern Washington). As for the Seahawks, first-year head coach Mike Macdonald’s team has dropped into a three-way tie for first place in the division after losing four of its last five games.”

Rams Sean McVay Non-Commital About Team Being ‘Buyers’ At Trade Deadline (si.com)
“That being said, there are still some places on the roster that could use an upgrade. However, it doesn’t seem like head coach Sean McVay is ready to commit to making these improvements by the Nov. 5 trade deadline.
“I think it’s probably a little bit too early in terms of being actual buyers,” McVay said, per Matt Borelli of Rams Newswire. “I know there have been a lot of conversations about the possibility of us selling. We haven’t really gotten into too many of those discussions. I think that’s always predicated on some of the dialogue that goes on behind the scenes between these teams. Obviously, things heat up as you get closer and closer to that deadline.”
Random Ramsdom Fandom: Through enemy eyes…. (By CDNGolfer on Oct 26, 2024)
“Got bored and started scrolling through game threads of Thursday’s game on the other guys’ sites, specifically NFC West teams, but strangely, no one comments on Arizona’s site. The game times are a guess since there aren’t times added to posts. The first posts are the beginning of the game and getting later as the posts go on.
Seattle 1st quarter:
“Kill ‘em Vikings!”,
“I won’t root for the Rams but it wouldn’t be bad for our playoff positioning if the Vikings lose.”
“Damn it, PLEASE don’t tell me the Rams are back”
“Amazing how any team can be better when they actually have most of their starters playing. Yup it’s going to be very tough playing a healthy rams team.”
“If Geno had this much time to throw he would make the pro bowl easy.” (Rams OL)
“Even Bryce Young would look decent behind this line”
“Even Mac Jones …
Well, not Mac Jones.”
