It was ugly, and it looked like Baltimore was looking ahead. They started slow and finished the first 30 minutes with a 10-6 lead over the battered Cleveland Browns. Both defenses shined, as no team finished with more than 151 yards in the first half.

With the second half set to begin, we’re looking at takeaways and observations from the first half.

Lamar Jackson was 6-6 on the first drive, but all anyone will remember is Cleveland getting the fourth down stop.

Jameis Winston

Winston was 10-16 for 110 yards passing in the first half.

Lamar Jackson

In the first quarter, Lamar Jackson was 6-of-6 for 65 yards. At the start of the second quarter, Jackson was 0-of-3 and has faced pressure on 80% of dropbacks (4-of-5). Jackson finished 9-14 passing for 95 yards and one touchdown.

Even with three key starters or contributors out, Baltimore held Cleveland to 110 passing yards.

Derrick Henry

Henry is good for one explosive play per game, and started out Balitmore’s second drive with a 39 yard gain. Overall, Henry finished the first half with five carries, for 47 yards (9.4 avg).
