Both teams were picked to be at or near the top of their conference and divisions before the season began, but now both are looking to get back on track. Both squads also came off of losses in their last games. The Cowboys, fresh off their bye week, dropped their game two weeks ago to the Detroit Lions in blowout fashion, 47 to 9. San Francisco dropped their game last week to the Kansas City Chiefs, 28 to 18.

—My Pick: 49ers to win but not to cover. This is a rivaly game, which usually means the game will be close, and you can throw out the records. While both teams have bad records, the 49ers have shot themselves in the foot more than not while also dealing with injuries, while the Cowboys have just been plain bad at times this season. The 49ers should win outright but will not cover the spread with the game being decided by a field goal margin or less.
