The Eagles are on the road for their Week 8 game against the Bengals.
The Eagles are now 4-2 heading into their Week 8 game against the Bengals, and with two wins in a row coming out of the bye, a third would really make a statement.
Vic Fangio’s defense has been so much more effective since the bye, and with some of the younger guys finally stepping up, you can feel the energy. They guys are still flying to the ball, but are making better tackling decisions, and the pass rush was lights out last week against the Giants. Hopefully they’ll be able to make Joe Burrow uncomfortable on Sunday and keep Ja’Marr Chase at bay.
The Eagles offense still needs to find ways to start faster, but relying on the ground game worked against the Giants and was a good way to set the tone. It probably isn’t the ideal workload longterm for Saquon Barkley, but things should open up for A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith the more defense’s have to devote to stopping the run.
Here’s hoping that this game is fun, not incredibly frustrating, and that Jalen Hurts can continue a streak of his own since the bye, with the QB currently sitting at two games without a turnover.
