The Bengals will be without one of their biggest weapons on Sunday.
The Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles have announced their Week 8 inactives.
For the Bengals, here is who will be down today.
- WR Tee Higgins
- S Daijahn Anthony
- DE Cedric Johnson
- TE Tanner McLachlan
- DT Jay Tufele
And here are the Eagles inactives.
- TE Dallas Goedert
- G Trevor Keegan
- QB Tanner McKee (emergency QB)
- CB Eli Ricks
The Bengals will officially be without Tee Higgins on Sunday after he was surprisingly added to the injury report with a quad issue on Friday. He was a game-time decision but wasn’t able to make it out on the field for warm-ups before the game.
Even without Higgins, though, the Bengals have talented wide receivers. Ja’Marr Chase is second in the league in receiving yards and is tied with Mike Evans for the most receiving touchdowns with six. He’ll be joined by Andrei Iosivas, Charlie Jones, Trenton Irwin, and rookie Jermaine Burton, who was a healthy scratch over the last couple of weeks.
Higgins is joined on the inactive list by safety Daijahn Anthony, defensive end Cedric Johnson, tight end Tanner McLachlan, and defensive tackle Jay Tufele.
The Bengals have an opportunity to even up their record with their first win at home of the season on Sunday. The Eagles aren’t going to go quietly, though. They have a high-powered yet underachieving offense, like the Bengals.
This game could be a shootout. Hopefully, Higgins’ absence will not hold them back. It would also be nice to see more of Burton.
