After a week full of trade rumors, Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp play a major part in the Rams victory

The Los Angeles Rams heard all week about how they were throwing in the towel on the season and getting ready to potentially trade their QB Matthew Stafford, and even more so, veteran WR Cooper Kupp. All of these rumors fed into the narrative that the 5-1 Minnesota Vikings were about to come into Sofi and dismantle the 2-4 Rams.

This was reflected in our survey as well, as 88% of the surveyed FanDuel fans said that Minnesota would cover the win while giving LA three points.

Well it looks like only 12% of the polled fans will walk away with their money after the Rams got their second win in five days, taking down the Vikings 30-20 on Thursday Night Football.

On top of making a statement that the team is not, in fact, throwing in the towel, head coach Sean McVay also made it crystal clear where Los Angeles stands with the idea of trading WR Cooper Kupp.

“Teams reached out. Some of the things I’ve seen out there, they’re just not true,” McVay said. “We’ve addressed it with those individuals. Teams have called about him and we let him know what the dialogue was there and there’s a lot of stuff out there where there’s not a lot of accountability to the reports and that’s unfortunate.”

McVay then made it even more obvious that the Rams have zero intentions of trading Kupp before the Nov. 5th trade deadline.

“I think a lot of the things that were out there were speculation,” he said. “We’re an inside-out organization. I’m really glad to have Cooper Kupp back with us and I expect it to stay that way.”

All of this should come as positive news to Rams fans seeing that only 22% that were surveyed thought the team should trade Kupp for a 3rd round pick.

Stafford, Kyren Williams and the return of Kupp and Puka Nacua showed the potential of the Rams offense when fully healthy. The defense has also stepped up major in the last two weeks and the team will now get a mini-bye of sorts after playing on a short week.

Prior to LA’s big underdog victory over the Vikings, fans said they were 57% confidence the team was heading in the right direction. Needless to say, that number is probably on the rise after tonight.

Los Angeles finds themselves in a great position, one win behind the NFC West leading Seahawks with a chance to play Seattle next week. The Rams soon may even have the ability to gain control of the division, an idea that seemed so out of reach to many people just weeks ago.
