Sean McVay spoke to the media after the Los Angeles Rams’ huge win, but knows team has ways to go
Sean McVay spoke to the media after the Los Angeles Rams huge win over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football. The head coach said some of the usual sound bites after a win such as, “What a great team win” and “Our guys were ready to go tonight” and the coach is right, but he’s also right when later in the conference he says, “It’s just two games.”
LA has done a hard task of starting 1-3, but then finding a way to rise to 3-4 with two wins in five days, and now the Rams get a chance to get prepared for a massive Week 9 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

After the game, former Seahawk (and San Francisco 49ers’ player) Richard Sherman talked about how fast things can change in the NFL and he’s right. LA now goes from being looked at as rumored sellers of Cooper Kupp or Matthew Stafford, and now look poised to compete this year.
In a matter of five days the Rams went from looking lost to looking like they can go on a postseason run, but as great as LA feels now, McVay was on point and grounded by saying “It’s just two games.” It is just two games, and as exciting as those two wins are for the Rams, they might not matter if LA can’t find a way to keep stacking them.
The head coach closes out his presser by saying that the team must stay humble and get back to work. Wise words.
LA now gets over a week off until their next challenge against the Seahawks. Will they find a way to win their third game in a row? Or will their current win streak and all this new found hope come to an end?
