NFC matchup as the selling Rams host the Vikings
And we are off for Week 8 as the Los Angeles Rams (+ 124) host the Vikings (- 146) in what should be an entertaining game. The visiting team opens up as 3-point favourites tonight, with the OU for points set at 48.5.
The Rams beat the Raiders last week to start climbing out of their early season hole, led by Kyren Williams scoring two touchdowns, and the defense more than doing their job against former Colt quarterback Gardner Minshew. There are rumours about the Rams potentially dangling Stafford around as a trade candidate, so this could be one of his last games playing in Los Angeles.
The Vikings have been one of the most surprising stories this season, and they were just a defensive stop away from being a perfect 6-0 as they lost on a game-winning field goal to the Detroit Lions. Sam Darnold continues to impress, J-Jefferson looks as good as ever, and suddenly this is one of the teams to beat in the NFC.
I think the spread is a bit favourable to the Rams, as even though they are playing at home they have not seemed to function well as a team. The Viking on the other hand look better every single week, and are probably looking for a bounceback performance after a heartbreaking loss.
