Seattle Seahawks acquired Ernest Jones from Titans in exchange for Jerome Baker and a 4th round pick
Ernest Jones is on the move for the second time this season according to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The Seattle Seahawks are finalizing a trade with the Tennessee Titans for the fourth-year linebacker. Seattle is sending Tennessee LB Jerome Baker and a fourth-round pick. The Los Angeles Rams traded Jones and a sixth-round draft choice to the Titans in exchange for a fifth-round selection in 2026.

The Rams have been fairly criticized for how little they acquire in return compensation in trades, especially in light of the recent rumors surrounding Cooper Kupp. LA infamously sent Jalen Ramsey to the Miami Dolphins and received back a third-round pick and reserve TE Hunter Long. It cost the Rams a future second round pick in order to move up for DE Braden Fiske in last year’s NFL Draft—a historically hefty price.
Tennessee sent LA only a fifth for Jones while the Titans were able to flip the linebacker for a pick that is a full round earlier AND they received a veteran linebacker that should compete for a starting job. Meanwhile the Rams are starting Troy Reeder and Christian Rozeboom in the middle of their defense. To say the least that has not gone well.
The Rams will see Jones in Week 9 when they travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. LA can move to 3-4 with a win over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football, and if they take care of business the game against Seattle could become a battle to get back to .500 and earn a fresh start on the season.
