The franchise quarterback credits the defense for the last few wins
The Cincinnati Bengals are winners of two straight games after taking down the Browns in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon.
This is the first time the Bengals have beaten the Browns in Cleveland since 2017, and Joe Burrow’s first win of his career in Cleveland as well.
Although the Bengals have won back-to-back games, the offense has struggled, but the defense has been stellar in road wins over the Browns and Giants.
Joe Burrow made sure to credit the Bengals defense after the win.
“The last two weeks have been big for our defense. Getting healthy, making plays, causing turnovers. That’s what our defense is all about. Rushing the passer, so that was big.”
The defense struggled and was responsible for numerous losses to start the season, but Lou Anarumo and his unit seem to have turned the corner.
The pass rush was electric in Cleveland, and the defense has forced numerous turnovers throughout the last two games.

The Bengals are currently finding their mojo, as usual, after another slow start but if both units can begin playing complementary football this will quickly become a very hard team to beat.
