Josh Allen’s final stat line looked great. He was 21-for-33 passing with 323 yards and he had two touchdowns. He again did not throw an interception. However, when you’re leading an offense that goes three-and-out multiple times to start a game? That’s not worthy of a perfect grade.

Not a ton of production from either running back James Cook or rookie Ray Davis… but it wasn’t really needed. However, both did find the end zone and Davis had a great 8.2 yards per carry for 41 yards on just five carries.

The passing attack took the lead against the Titans rather than the run game and a lot of positive production was found. Aside from a miss or two, both rookie Keon Coleman and Amari Cooper shined. Cooper scored his first touchdown as a Bill and Coleman had an impressive 44-yard grab to set up another score. It helped him earn if first-career 100-yard outing in the NFL (125).

A week similar to most for the Bills’ tight ends. Dalton Kincaid had three catches for 52 yards but missed another three targets thrown his way. Dawson Knox remained invisible. Pro Football Focus is not even grading Knox well as a blocker anymore (54.1 overall mark) and it appears he might have injured his ankle.

It was a solid and steady day for the Buffalo offensive line against a very good defense. Allen was only dropped for one sack and hit just four times on 30-plus dropbacks. Rushing the ball, aside from a nice set of carries from Davis, there wasn’t much to be found for the ballcarries. Of the entire Bills offensive line, right tackle Spencer Brown stood out the most out of all the starters via PFF’s grading metrics as he earned an 82.4 overall mark.

The Bills’ defensive front dominated the Titans. Not question about it. Three D-lineman led Buffalo’s defense in PFF’s grading metrics. That trio was Greg Rousseau (87.6), Ed Oliver (85.3) and DaQuan Jones (81.8). Rousseau might have been worthy of an even better stat line as his six quarterback hits were the most by one player in any one game this entire NFL season. Excellent stuff.

Unfortunately Terrel Bernard was hurt twice against the Titans and when he’s out, it is noticed. Bernard was all over the field but his second injury to his ankle caused him to miss the later stages of the win. But Kudos to Dorian Williams, too. He is settling in as he notched a team-high 10 total tackles including one for loss. The only player with more for loss was Bernard (2).

The outside cornerbacks for the Bills continue to play at an elite level. Combined, Christian Benford and Rasul Douglas only allowed one single catch the entire game. The safeties leave a bit to be desired at times, such as Damar Hamlin when he was beat for the Titans’ lone touchdown catch… but Hamlin then got payback with an interception on a Mason Rudolph pass which initially was tipped by Benford.

Kicker Tyler Bass did his job. Not always the case, but it was against the Titans. Bass connected from 28 and 30 yards and made all his extra points. Punter Sam Martin only averaged a net of 33.8 yards on his boots, though. There was some wind to deal with.
