Giants will have their best two defensive players on Sunday
Defensive stars Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns, who were questionable with hip and groin injuries, respectively, are both active for the New York Giants on Sunday. The 2-4 Giants are hosting the 3-2 Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium (1 p.m. ET/FOX).
Lawrence (hip) and Burns (groin) did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.
Punter Jame Gillan will miss a second straight game with a hamstring injury. Matt Haack will punt again. Haack will also hold on placekicks.
Adoree’ Jackson will miss the game with a neck injury. That means that second-year cornerback Tre Hawkins will be active for only the third time this season.
Newly-signed offensive lineman Chris Hubbard, signed off the San Francisco 49ers practice squad during the week, will be inactive.
Rookie guard Jake Kubas, an undrafted free agent, will be active for the first time.
