CB Denzel Ward has been named the Week 7 NFLPA award winner
Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward has been named the NFLPA’s Community MVP for week 7 after a generous contribution through his “Make Them Know Your Name” (MTKYN) Foundation.
Ward donated $150,000.00 to help the city place 100 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) around the Greater Cleveland area.
AEDs are portable devices that deliver an electric shock to the heart to restore its normal rhythm in the event of cardiac arrhythmias. They are specifically designed for use by non-medical professionals.
Ward has been a big proponent of the devices due to the passing of his father in 2016 who had a heart attack at a routine spinning class. Since then he’s donated numerous amounts to local schools and other buildings that need them.
