Who do you have in this Thursday night game.
Thursday Night Football has a matchup of two teams that aren’t viewed very highly. The Denver Broncos are 3-3, but they have some serious offensive issues. The New Orleans Saints started the year as hot as possible, but they are on a four-game losing streak.
The Broncos defense has kept this team afloat. They have only allowed nine touchdowns, which is tied for the second-lowest through Week 6. Their defense is also allowing just over 284 yards per game (fourth best in the NFL). The Problem comes when you look at their offensive numbers. They average 18.7 points per game, 278.2 yards, and only 10 touchdowns. All of those numbers are near the bottom of the barrel.
The Saints are going to have trouble fielding an offense Thursday night. Wide receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed have been ruled out, and the team is already without Derek Carr. That means we get to see rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler for his second game after a modest game last week where he was chasing a Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense that scored 51 points. He shouldn’t have to worry about this week, but he will be up against a top defense without most of his most productive weapons.
FanDuel Sportsbook has the Broncos as a 2.5-point favorite, and the point total is set at 36.5.
