How are you feeling Colts fans ahead of Week 7’s old AFC East rivalry home game against the recently different looking Miami Dolphins?
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Indianapolis Colts fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The Indianapolis Colts (3-3) look to have a winning record for the first time this season, hosting the Miami Dolphins (2-3)—and rekindling an old AFC East rivalry for an afternoon.
Coming off a consecutive wild card appearance, the Dolphins’ playoff aspirations were seriously derailed when starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion. He won’t be returning against Indianapolis, as he’s not eligible to come off IR until Week 8.
The Colts also have a recent question at starting quarterback—although all signs point to 2nd-year starter Anthony Richardson returning, who was a full participant during Wednesday’s practice and served as the team’s emergency third quarterback last weekend.
Can Indianapolis ‘squish the fish’ this weekend? (Yes, I know Dolphins are mammals, and I support all marine wild life).
Perhaps most importantly, can the Colts, who currently sit 7th with the AFC’s final wild card spot, make the playoffs this season?
Time will tell, but a win on Sunday would be another step for Indianapolis playing postseason football again—although given how well backup quarterbacks have fared against the Colts in franchise history, and let’s take nothing for granted again.
