The Battle of Ohio draws near.
The Cincinnati Bengals will head north this weekend for a matchup with the Cleveland Browns. At 2-4, this would be the perfect time for the Bengals to break out of their funk in The Battle of Ohio and get Joe Burrow his first win in Cleveland.
The Bengals look relatively healthy heading in to the matchup, according to the team’s injury report.
Burrow (wrist) and defensive tackle Kris Jenkins (thumb) are two players on the report who will see significant snaps on Sunday. Both were listed as full participants, so they are likely just on the report because they received some sort of treatment.
Cornerback DJ Ivey (knee) was on the report but also went full as he looks to get back on the field after suffering a torn ACL late last season.
Cornerback DJ Turner II was also on the report with an ankle injury and listed as limited. Turner had a massive play to help the Bengals end the game against the New York Giants and showed no signs of injury during the game. He will be one to watch as the week progresses.
For Cleveland, they will get a boost to their struggling offense, as running back Nick Chubb is on track to make his 2024 debut. Chubb has missed the first six weeks of the season as he worked his way back from a devastating knee injury he suffered last season.
Players who didn’t practice include center Ethan Pocic (knee), safety Ronnie Hickman (ankle), and running back Jerome Ford (hamstring).
Cornerback Martin Emerson (rib), safety Grant Delpit (concussion), running back D’Onta Foreman (groin), defensive end Myles Garrett (Achilles), linebacker Jordan Hicks (elbow, triceps), safety Juan Thornhill (calf), cornerback Denzel Ward (hamstring) and tackle Jedrick Wills (shoulder, knee) were all limited participants. Some big names to watch for Cleveland as the week progresses.
