Sam Hubbard’s health coincides with the defense starting to step up again.

Mike Hilton Walks The Walk; Bengals Defense Spreads Snaps; Sam Hubbard Makes Debut In Zac Taylor Offense | QUICK HITS
The first one came three years ago when Hilton, the feisty slot cornerback who came from Pittsburgh to become a team leader, prepared to play his old Steelers teammates during his first Bengals season.

Complements And Compliments To Defense As Bengals Savor Sunday Night Win
“Fortunately, we were able to lean on the defense today,” said quarterback Joe Burrow, who came into the game generating 35 points per their last three games. “It was great to see them step up like that. They needed that one, we needed that one.”

Cincinnati Bengals DE Sam Hubbard’s hamstring is getting healthier, and it shows.
“Usually you’re pretty beat up and you’re out there in survival mode,” Hubbard said. “I feel great the day after, and late in the game I was ready to roll. I think a lot of guys felt that way. Having that rotation going with all the guys back is gonna go a long way.”

Bengals keep playing to their competition’s level and it’s a problem
In past years, the Bengals had a reputation as a team that played down to the competition. That didn’t just shine through during Sunday night’s win over the New York Giants — it has defined the season.

3 Bengals players make list of top 2025 NFL Free Agents
More often than not, most of the names on lists such as this one, especially near the top, will not reach free agency. Teams bend over backward to retain their best players before they have a chance to hit free agency.

Case for sub-.500 teams to make NFL playoffs: Bengals, Dolphins could still emerge as postseason contenders – CBSSports.com
Remember before the season, when everyone figured that as long as Joe Burrow were healthy, the Bengals would be a powerhouse? Well, Burrow’s been upright — and even playing at an All-Pro level — but Cincinnati’s had a rough go of it. Even so, it’s that offensive production that should keep them relevant into the late fall. They currently rank 10th in scoring and 12th in yards per game, and those marks are despite Tee Higgins missing multiple contests. If the defense can just slightly build off its better showing against the New York Giants, they should be able to chase the rival Pittsburgh Steelers down the stretch.

Cincinnati Bengals Coach Zac Taylor Says Chase Brown Shouldn’t Have Scored Fourth Quarter Touchdown
“You don’t want to leave it to chance,” Taylor said. “There’s been examples around the league the last 10 years where that’s backfired. Yeah, you’d like to win 17-7. You feel better. But I’ll take a 10-7 win where you don’t leave anything to chance there at the end of the game. So again, that’s something I’ve got to be better at.”

‘We’re just getting started’ — Bengals defense not satisfied with one strong game
“I think we were all working so hard for it, and to see it come to fruition after a lot of adversity we faced early in the season, that’s good, but it’s one game,” Hubbard said Monday. “Now it’s about taking it week by week, and by no means are we sitting here like we’re finished. We’re just getting started, and it’s a good building game to have.”
