Divisional matchup between AFC East teams, as the Jets enter their post Saleh era.
We close out Week 6 of NFL football with a divisional matchup on our hands as the New York Jets (- 102) enter their post-Robert Saleh era hosting the Buffalo Bills (- 116) in what is a must win game for the home team. It’s as close as it gets according to the odds, as the Bills open up as just 1.5-point favourites, with the OU for the game at a surprisingly low 40.5 points.
The Bills lost against the Texans last week on a 59-yard game winning field goal by Ka’imi Fairbairn after some questionable time management by Sean McDermott. Josh Allen struggled hard, posting his worst game in quite some time now as he completed just 9 of his 30 passing attempts.
The Jets lost to the Vikings in London, on what was Robert Saleh’s final game coaching the Jets. The Aaron Rodgers era has not been what New York was expecting thus far, and the veteran quarterback averaged just 4.5 yards per attempt versus Minnesota, and threw 3 interceptions. Jeff Ulbrich will take over as interim head-coach while Todd Downing will be the Jets’ new play-calller on offense.
Overall I agree with the odds that this is going to be a really close game, but I like the Bills better because they seem to be the better functioning team at this moment, and it is always hard to predict how an interim head-coach will lead the team.
