Week 6 Sunday Night Football: Giants vs. Bengals

Not a lot of history between these two teams as they face off in an intriguing SNF matchup

Interconference matchup to close off this NFL Sunday with the New York Giants (+ 168) hosting the Cincinnati Bengals (- 200) up in New York. The visiting team is currently favoured by 3.5-points with the OU for the game an average 45.5. Rookie sensation Malik Nabers and star pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux are both out for the Giants, while the Bengals are relatively healthy.

The Bengals suffered another heartbreaking loss in this young season, this one against the Ravens. First, they blew a 10-point lead late in the fourth quarter that sent the game to overtime, there they forced a Lamar Jackson fumble to get them in the perfect position to win the game with a field goal, but a missed 53-yard kick by Evan McPherson and then a 51-yard run by Derrick Henry set up Ravens’ kicker Justin Tucker to kick the game winner. Now at 1-4, the Bengals are a much better team than their record shows.

The Giants managed to escape Seattle with what can safely be considered a lucky win, after blocking what would have been the game-winning field goal for the Seahawks and then returning it all the way for a touchdown. Quarterback Daniel Jones continues looking competent, while the defense has the players to make some plays here and there and force some turnovers.

Now even though the Giants have the better record and are playing at home I would still go with Joe Burrow and the Bengals on this one, as they start righting the ship and trying to make a playoff push.
