Giants miss out on key opportunities in loss to Cincinnati
The New York Giants failed to capitalize on some key opportunities as they suffered a 17-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football.
Playing without Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary, the Giants offense struggled to get points on the board even though they won the time of possession battle while also extending some drives with some key fourth-down conversions. The Bengals’ offense wasn’t much better but did enough to pick up their second victory of the 2024 season.
The Giants and Bengals are both 2-4 on the season.
Missed opportunities prove to be costly
A Daniel Jones interception in the red zone, two Greg Joseph missed field goals and a fumble by the Bengals that should’ve been a turnover in the Giants favor but bounced out of bounds were three of the notable plays that ended up costing the Giants.
Games can be determined by a handful of plays, as unfortunately the above-listed ones (and others) simply didn’t go in the Giants’ favor.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. has another strong outing
After recording more than 100 rushing yards against the Seattle Seahawks a week ago, Tyrone Tracy Jr. had another strong performance for the Giants on Sunday night.
Tracy Jr. had 107 total yards but his production was split between both the running and passing game. On the ground, Tracy Jr. recorded 50 yards (and his first career touchdown), while he added an additional 57 receiving yards.

Daniel Jones completed 22 of 41 passes for 205 yards. He was the Giants’ leading rusher, finishing the night with 56 rushing yards on 11 carries.
The Giants recorded 309 yards of total offense.
Tyler Nubin led the Giants defense with nine tackles. New York recorded four sacks on Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow, as Azeez Ojulari was responsible for half of them.
