LA will host the Raiders for the first time since their thrilling TNF matchup
The Los Angeles Rams return from their Week 6 bye to play the reeling Las Vegas Raiders, with the Rams listed as a 4.5-point favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook. LA and Las Vegas will face off at SoFi Stadium in the regular season for the first time since their infamous TNF thriller in 2022 with Baker Mayfield under center.
The Rams were off this week, yet Sean McVay’s squad entered the bye with a whimper. LA came into their week off 1-4, with the lone win coming over the San Francisco 49ers. Suck it stupid Whiners! Green Bay took down Los Angeles 24-19, although, there were several opportunities to take down a mistake-riddled Packers team. Jordan Love bounced back from a laughably horrific pick-six thrown before the half to toss multiple touchdown passes to tight end Tucker Kraft. One bright spot from this game was running back Kyren Williams extending his NFL-best touchdown streak in a 102-yard performance.
RB Kyren Williams (@Kyrenwilliams23) extended his rushing TD streak to eight games, longest streak by a Rams RB since Greg Bell’s 10-game streak (Week 10 of 1988 – Week 3 of 1989). It’s the longest active streak in the NFL and is tied for the fourth-longest streak since 2000.… pic.twitter.com/GCn8WNwiFu

Las Vegas played at home in Week 5, but only the Steelers seemed interested in showing up as the Raiders fell 32-13. Quarterback Aiden O’Connell made his first start of the season and didn’t fare any better than Gardner Minshew after Vegas notched only 275 total yards against a standout Steelers defense. Running back Alexander Mattison scored the Raiders’ lone score of the day and rookie tight end Brock Bowers continued to perform well in Davante Adams’ absence with 9 receptions for 71 yards.
This should be an ideal get-right for the Rams who will face a Raiders squad that has already punted on 2024. There is no saving Vegas, yet LA could realistically save their season with a win to get back into the NFC playoff picture. I expect the Rams will be ready to play coming off a bye and win a closely contested game at home.
