The Eagles got a much-needed win over the Browns on Sunday, but the team still failed to get off to a fast start and ended too many drives without points throughout the game. The slow start, coupled with a blocked field goal for a touchdown — by former Eagle safety Rodney McLeod —, prompted some “Fire Sirianni” chants heading into halftime.
The head coach is no stranger to going back and forth with fans, although it’s usually fans of the opponent at away games, but on Sunday, he had a little extra spice for some Eagles fans after the team secured the win.

The overall performance against the Browns didn’t exactly merit a “talk your shit” vibe from Sirianni, but he’s undoubtedly heard all the noise about his job security these past few weeks — not to mention fans yelling to him about it on Sunday — and took the opportunity to remind fans that he’s still a very winning coach for this city.
Fans are justifiably frustrated at how this talented team has yet to live up to their potential, and Sirianni is justifiably proud that they move forward with a winning, 3-2, record. Both things can be true, and if the team can string together a couple more wins, those “Fire Sirianni” chants might end altogether. (They should, but they probably won’t.)
Nick Sirianni on his interaction with the fans:
“Just excited to get the win.”
