Before the sixth Sunday of the 2024 NFL regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the lines for the Week 6 games.

My overall record is 34-43-1, which is well behind the collective BGN community at 43-34-1. Just not my year so far.
Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds.
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at CHICAGO BEARS (-1.5): Caleb Williams seems to be settling in. And the Jags have not been good. PICK: Bears -1.5
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS at BALTIMORE RAVENS (-6.5): The Ravens will win but this very efficient Commanders offense will make it a close game. PICK: Commanders +6.5
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (-3.5) at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS: The Bucs have a significant rest advantage here; they’re coming off Thursday night while the Saints are coming off a Monday night game. And the Bucs are the better team anyway. PICK: Buccaneers -3.5
CLEVELAND BROWNS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-9.5): I feel like I’m putting clown makeup on as I type this but I think people have actually been a little too negative about the Eagles! (Gasp! Me of all people saying that?!) I’ve seen so many people say that the Eagles won’t find a way to cover (or even win) that it makes me feel like it’s definitely going to happen now. And there’s just every reason on paper to think it should. The Birds are coming off the bye, they’re getting A.J. Brown/DeVonta Smith/Lane Johnson back, Deshaun Watson is terrible … it’s happening. Double-digit Eagles win for the first time in nearly a year! PICK: Eagles -9.5
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS at TENNESSEE TITANS (-2.5): Will Levis is tough to trust but Tennessee’s defense is legit and the Colts haven’t been that inspiring. Plus the Titans are coming off their bye. PICK: Titans -2.5
HOUSTON TEXANS (-6.5) at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: Drake Maye might eventually be good but he could struggle from the jump with a poor supporting cast around him. Tough spot for him going up against DeMeco Ryans in his first-ever start. PICK: Texans -6.5
ARIZONA CARDINALS at GREEN BAY PACKERS (-5.5): The Packers are going to get clicking as Jordan Love gets healthier. PICK: Packers -5.5
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (-3) at DENVER BRONCOS: Honestly hard to really know what to make of either of these teams right now. But the Chargers have scored the third-fewest points in the NFL this year. So not loving the thought of trusting them to score enough to cover. PICK: Broncos +3
PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-3) at LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: Fading Justin Fields is one of my core tenets. Maybe we see him get benched for Russell Wilson soon. PICK: Raiders +3
ATLANTA FALCONS (-6.5) at CAROLINA PANTHERS: The Falcons are coming off extra rest and the Panthers have looked bad outside of Andy Dalton’s first start. PICK: Falcons -6.5
DETROIT LIONS (-3) at DALLAS COWBOYS: The Lions are out for revenge. Dan Campbell is going to have his guys fired up for this one. Going up against an injured Cowboys team, Detroit is my Lock Of The Week. PICK: Lions -3
CINCINNATI BENGALS (-3.5) at NEW YORK GIANTS: The Bengals are better than their 1-4 record indicates. That offense can cook. They’re about to rattle off several wins in a row. PICK: Bengals -3.5
BUFFALO BILLS (-2.5) at NEW YORK JETS: Beware the “our head coach just got fired” bump … but I don’t know that Jets players really hated Robert Saleh? Not loving New York’s vibes. Josh Allen is the better bet. PICK: Bills -2.5
