Battered Raiders’ get some good news ahead of Week 6 game
The Las Vegas Raiders have been hit hard by injuries this season, but Friday the team is getting some good news on the injury front as several players are returning to practice, which is an indication they will be ready to play in Sunday’s Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. PT.
Raiders coach Antonio Pierce said defensive end Maxx Cosby (high ankle sprain), running back Zamir White (groin), wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (ankle) and guard Jackson Powers-Johnson (knee) will all practice Friday. All four players missed the first two days of the practice week and White didn’t play in Week 5.
Pierce also said tackle Thayer Munford (ankle/knee) and linebacker Divine Deablo (oblique) will play play Sunday. They have both missed multiple games.
Second-year tight end Michel Mayer was put on the reserve/non-football injury list because of personal reasons. He has missed two games and will be out, for at least, four more games.
Star wide receiver Davante Adams remains out with a hamstring injury and ESPN reported Wednesday morning that he won’t play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It will be his third straight missed game.
