The Minnesota Vikings defeated the New York Jets 23 – 17 in London.
Aaron Rodgers – Why is A A Ron a Nincompoop? That list is too long for me to write about today. It would be an Arif length article. Let’s stick to the game from this past Sunday. Three interceptions from the leader of the team. He’s being paid to be better than he is. Lazard was his guy Rodgers wanted and he isn’t performing. They might be brining in another one in Adams, who will likely perform. Rodgers is arrogant and he used to be able to get away with that. His arrogance is not something he can get away with at 40. Brady busted his butt and was disciplined and focused. Rodgers isn’t Brady and it shows more than ever now.

Robert Salah – Why is Salah a Nincompoop? He got himself fired. I feel a bit bad for him. You work your entire career to get a head coaching spot, but you know you signed with the Jets. The team is dysfunctional. Salah will be picked up as a DC immediately by someone and will be a Flores like impact. He’s a good coach that set himself back a few years by taking a bad job.
ESPN sources: Jets fired HC Robert Saleh.

Joe Douglas – Why is Douglas a Nincompoop? He traded for Hasson Reddick who was unhappy with his contract, before negotiating a contract extension. Reddick hasn’t stepped foot in the building. Douglas has also handed some control over to Rodgers. He has to take responsibility for the disappointment that comes with signing and giving control to a QB past his prime. He just fired a good coach because of it.
Ed Ingram – Why is Ingram a Nincompoop? He is bad at his job. 5 pressures allowed on Sunday and 10 total by the offense. Darnold is not good against pressure and it showed on Sunday. A big reason the offense struggled is because of pressure up the middle. Half of the pressures came from Ingram’s man.
Week 5 Vikings OL PFF grades (overall/run block/pass block/pressures allowed):
Darrisaw 70.8/66.8/71.4/1
Brandel 54.0/57.7/60.6/2
Bradbury 60.2/63.1/68.7/1
Ingram 36.0/51.1/19.8/5
O’Neill 90.9/95.1/80.4/1— Eric Thompson (@eric_j_thompson) October 7, 2024
Honorable Mention – Me, I wrote the Sunday King article why packing in London. I mixed up Shaw Griffin and Stephon Gilmore. The CB1 and game sealing interceptor deserves better.
