This week’s Sunday Night Football game features the 2 and 2 Dallas Cowboys and the 3 and 1 Pittsburgh Steelers. Dallas has bracketed its two losses this season with wins, including last week’s victory over its divisional foe, the New York Giants, 20 to 15. The Steelers kicked off the 2024 season hot, winning their first three games before dropping last week’s contest against the Indianapolis Colts, 27 to 24.

—My Pick: Steelers to cover. Dallas has won two games this season against poorer teams and lost to two of the better teams. The Cowboys are in the middle of the league in points scored per game while the Steelers are number two in the league in allowing points. While Pittsburgh’s offense has not been the most exciting this season, they do just enough to win most of their games behind their stifling defense. That, along with one of the best home field crowds in sports in a prime-time game, should carry them to victory this evening by more than a field goal margin.
