This season for our Miami Dolphins has gotten off to a start that none of us wanted, nor do I assume expected. Like today’s opponent, the New England Patriots, Miami is one and three after losing the last three games. Miami’s issues mainly stem from losing starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to another concussion in week two. The Dolphins will again turn to backup quarterback Tyler Huntly this week. Huntly could only muster 96 yards through the air last Monday night in the Phin’s loss to the Tennessee Titans, 31 to 12.
New England has moved on from Bill Belichick, turning the reigns over to first-year head coach Jerod Mayo. The Patriots drafted quarterback Drake Maye in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft but have thus far relied on Jacoby Brissett as the signal caller. Through four games this season, the Pats have yet to eclipse 20 points in any single game. New England is averaging 13 points per game. Only Miami is worse on the season, averaging 11. g3ames per game.
