The Bengals rookie punter has been stellar to start the 2024 season.
As the Cincinnati Bengals continue working to get the season back on track. After an 0-3 start, the team has some fun bright spots that have shined through four games.
Cincinnati has struggled to find a consistent punter who can flip the field since Kevin Huber, but it looks like the team has found an absolute gem.
Bengals rookie Ryan Rehkow has kicked off the season in an exciting way, setting a record in Week 1.

Special teams coach Darrin Simmons has been one of Rehkow’s biggest fans so far.
“The ball just gets small when he hits it sometimes, when it goes up in the air,” according to SI’s Jay Morrison.
Simmons even gave Rehkow a massive compliment.
“I’ve not seen anybody that can hit the ball as high and as far as he can. I’ve seen guys who can hit the ball higher; I’ve seen guys who can hit the ball farther. But to do the combination of it is pretty rare. He’s the most powerful guy I’ve ever coached.”

Rehkow has netted over 150 yards in just three punts this season, averaging 56.7 yards per punt.
Rehkow has become an incredibly important piece to the Bengals’ success, becoming a weapon capable of flipping the field if needed.
With Rehkow’s early success, the Bengals have released Brad Robbins, showing us all that Cincinnati has full faith in the rookie punter.
