One last move before Sunday’s game
Ahead of Sunday’s game in London against the New York Jets, the Minnesota Vikings have made a couple of last-minute roster moves.
The team has announced that they have elevated running back Myles Gaskin and defensive back Bobby McCain from the practice squad.
This is McCain’s second elevation from the practice squad for the season. He was also elevated for the regular season opener against New York, playing three special teams snaps. That means he has one more standard elevation before the team has to sign him to the 53-man roster.
Gaskin was released earlier this week when Robert Tonyan was signed to the active roster and then immediately brought back to the practice squad. This is now Gaskin’s third elevation of the season. He was elevated for the first two games and then signed to the active roster for the next two. This means that if the Vikings want to bring him up from the practice squad again, they’ll have to sign him to the 53-man roster and make a corresponding move to make room for him.
That should wrap up the roster moves that the Vikings will be making before Sunday’s game. Remember, things get started bright and early on Sunday, and we hope you’ll make time in your NFL viewing day to spend some of it with us.
