Some notes
- Wide receiver Mecole Hardman was downgraded on Friday before being upgraded on Saturday. Hardman was limited on Thursday, out of practice on Friday and a full pariticpant on Saturday. Kansas City is being careful, though, still listing him as questionable.
- If Hardman cannot play, the Chiefs will have to pivot in terms of a returner. We have more information on that here.
- Running back Kareem Hunt (shoulder) and defensive end Mike Danna (calf) were limited on Thursday and Friday but were able to log full practices on Saturday. They are considered good to go for the game. More on Hunt’s status can be found here.
- Defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (triceps) and linebacker Nick Bolton (hamstring) are also good to go.
- Earlier this week, the Chiefs announced that they had placed wide receiver Rashee Rice on the Reserve/Injured list. This means that Rice will miss at least the next four games — and therefore, he is no longer required to be listed on the injury report. We have more information on Rice’s next steps here.
- For the Saints, safety Tyrann Mathieu should play. Mathieu left the Saints’ last game with a groin injury, but he was never listed on the report.
- Another Chiefs’ fan favorite, linebacker Willie Gay Jr. (hand), did not practice all week and has been ruled out for the game. Tight end Taysom Hill (rib) also missed practice all week and is out.
- Along the offensive line, the Saints were already down to their backup center, Shane Lemieux (ankle), who remained out of practice all week. Both he and right guard Cesar Ruiz (knee) will not play. Defensive end Payton Turner (knee) is also out for the game
- Offensive lineman Lucas Patrick (groin) was out of practice on both Friday and Saturday. He is questionable for Monday. So is linebacker Pete Werner (hamstring), who was limited on Saturday — his first appearance on this week’s report.
- Left tackle Taliese Fuaga (back) was limited all week, but is expected to play.
- The rest of the New Orleans players who appeared on this week’s injury report — including running back Alvin Kamara (hip/ribs) and wide receiver Chris Olave (hamstring) — were full participants in Saturday’s practice. All are now good-to-go for Monday’s game.
