The 2024 Miami Dolphins’ season has been a rough one for fans. Coming into the year, there were expectations of the team making a deep run into the postseason. As we enter Week 5, the team has fallen off a cliff, winning their first game of the year on a field goal with no time remaining on the clock, then losing their next three games.
Things are so bad, the Dolphins have not led during a game yet this season. Their injured reserve and weekly listings reads like a who’s who of Pro Bowl players and talent. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion and placement on injured reserve has the offense completely out of rhythm and Miami, who finished second in offensive scoring last year, dead last in the league in points scored this season.
It has been rough, and out SB Nation Reacts poll, brought to us courtesy of FanDuel sportsbook, reflect the Dolphins’ struggles.
Miami Dolphins fan confidence
The good news this week is, there are three teams in the league with fan confidence in single digits. The bad news is, Miami is still the worst of the group. The Dolphins’ fan confidence poll results for this week has just five percent of the fans thinking the team is headed in the right direction. The Jacksonville Jaguars are the closest team to Miami’s results, with seven percent of their fans positive about the team – an improvement from Week 4’s four percent. The Philadelphia Eagles dropped to nine percent this week, a huge fall from 55 percent last week.
Last week’s results were published with 14 percent of the Dolphins’ fanbase positive about the team. Those were not the final results, however, as the survey updated one more time, coming in with just nine percent of the fans positive about the team. Another four percentage points lost as the Dolphins dropped to 1-3 with a bad performance against the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football – the second straight year that has happened.
If the Dolphins are going to see their fan confidence rating start to return to the 85 percent it was at the start of the season, they need to have some massive changes in their execution starting this week.
Week 1: 85%
Week 2: 82%
Week 3: 15%
Week 4: 9%
Week 5: 5%
