Carter gets the boot after three seasons.
The Cincinnati Bengals have made a trio of roster moves ahead of their Week 5 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.
On Friday, the team waived defensive tackle Zach Carter. The Bengals also activated defensive end Myles Murphy and defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson to the 53-man roster from the injured reserve list. Both had been designated for return and cleared to practice on Wednesday. Murphy had been on IR since Aug. 27th with a knee injury, while Jackson had been on the list since Aug. 29th with a knee injury.
Carter, a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Florida, has played in all four games this season (two starts) and totaled nine tackles with a half-sack. The Bengals may try to sign him to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
These moves signal that both Murphy and Jackson will be active on Sunday vs. the Ravens in a game the Bengals desperately need to stay in the AFC North hunt.
