Jared Goff pitched a perfect game, but it’s the whole unit that brought in the magic.
The bye week feels good with a victory, and the Detroit Lions have defended their home turf and achieved some well-needed revenge on the Seattle Seahawks. Now, it’s time for Detroit to get healthy and get right. We have a few ideas on what they need to focus on for the bye week, and we have to break down Monday’s action.
On the latest episode of the Pride of Detroit PODcast, we take a look back at Monday night and how the Lions achieved victory. It was a perfect night for Jared Goff, but it was an even bigger performance for the offense as a unit—that Goff performance being the product of a great run game, deeper receivers and more creative play-calling. We discuss the jobs done on the offensive line as Kayode Awosika and Graham Glasgow take on new roles in Frank Ragnow’s absence. We also dive into the defense, where good things are still coming as the unit learns to overcome some frustrations. We also take some dives into Terrion Arnold, Tim Patrick and James Houston.
As always, thank you for your continued support of PODcast. Enjoy the bye week and get ready for more Lions football on the other side.
