Can’t fight against the youth.
There were a few changes for the Bengals in their 34-24 win over the Panthers, particularly on offense, where a couple of fan-favorite players got a little more burn.
The running backs did not hit the 50/50 split number yet, but Chase Brown is eating away at Zack Moss’s workload. This week, Moss took 60 percent of snaps, and Brown took 40. Each had 15 carries.
Moss turned his into 51 yards while Brown tallied up 80 yards and two touchdowns. Moss added four receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown, while Brown only had two catches for 12 yards.
Rookie tight end Erick All led his position group in snaps for the first time this week, taking 60% of all snaps. He also dominated the group statistically with four receptions for 28 yards, although the plays that stood out most for him were when he was blocking,
Another interesting tidbit about the “tight end position” is that Cody Ford took 14 offensive snaps as an extra tight end in this game.
Defensively, Zach Carter led defensive tackles in snaps, which is, in a word, troubling.
As Cam Taylor-Britt struggled, DJ Turner took a starter’s share of snaps at cornerback, but despite the struggles of both starting safeties, Jordan Battle only played one defensive down.
