New York heading into difficult place to play
The 1-3 New York Giants are 5.5-point underdogs in Week 5 as they travel across the country to face the Seattle Seahawks, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
The 3-0 Seahawks are on the road Monday night against the Detroit Lions. The Giants, while they are traveling into a difficult environment to play in, have the advantage of having been off since Thursday’s 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
“I mean the 12s (Seattle fans) are well-known. They’re well-documented. It’s a loud place to play,” wide receiver Darius Slayton said. “They have a good football team. They’ve been a good football team for it feels like, the last two decades, so they’re always competitive. We know it’s going to be a tough challenge, but we’re going to work to go out there and get a win.”
The status of rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, who suffered a concussion against the Cowboys, is uncertain. Slayton said Nabers is “in good spirits” and that “I think he’ll be all right.”
