Earlier this week, we published our latest SB Nation Reacts survey, sponsored by the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook, asking Detroit Lions fans the question: Which OT is the best prospect for the Lions in the 2026 NFL draft?
For this exercise, we provided Lions fans with six offensive tackle prospects to choose from and asked them to choose which they would prefer the Lions to select in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Let’s take a look at the results from this week’s survey:
As we’ve seen in our weekly mock draft roundups, things are spread out with a lot of varying opinions. Most analysts and fans have gravitated toward Freeling as of late, so it’s not overly surprising that he led the way in this survey as well.
Let’s take a look at the comment section of our original survey for explanations of why fans voted for each prospect they did (slightly edited for clarity).
- JohnnyLion: “I have been all in on Freeling from before the NFL Combine. I think he has youth and the most upside in the class. I realize it could be a little rocky this year but pairing Sewell long term could make for the best tackle pair in the league.”
- KrazyKarras: “Went with Fano. Overall, feel he’s the best mix of talent and potential. Not really worried about the arm length. He’s been getting it done.”
- Ultimatepunisher007: “I just think Proctor fits way too good. Great size and athleticism. I don’t care about the high weight if he still moves the way he does. Remember, muscle weights more then fat. From the start iv thought he’s a perfect fit. LT so Sewell can stay at RT. Brad loves Bama players and he seems to find the good ones.”
- TucsonTabby: “I’ll take Miller, think he’s a great fit for the Lions and may be available if we move back a couple.”
- Hankfan232425: “I like Lomu if they stay at 17. Just as long as they don’t pull a Jahlani Tavai or something just as stupid. You guys remember that? […] I think Brad is trading up in the first this year. I gotta gut feeling.”
- T-Paul from CBS Message Boards: “I think Iheanachor will go higher than a lot of people are expecting.”
Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Detroit Lions fans and fans across the country. If you want to get these surveys emailed to you weekly, you can sign up here.
