Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium will be hosting another Super Bowl.
In a slam-dunk move Monday, the NFL owners approved the voting of Super Bowl LXIII being held at Allegiant Stadium in February, 2029. It has long been the expected outcome. Las Vegas has become a major attraction in the league since the Raiders moved there in 2020.
The NFL draft was held there in 2022. Allegiant Stadium hosted its first Super Bowl on February 11, 2024 when the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers.
Both the stadium and the city received rave reviews from the league, fans and media and it was clear that Las Vegas will be part of the regular rotation for the Super Bowl.
Could the Raiders legitimately have a chance to play in the game? Three seasons is a reasonable timeline in today’s NFL landscape.
So, if the Klint Kubiak-Fernando Mendoza pairing is going to work, we could see dividends in this timeframe.
